Br. Ishaan

Br. Ishaan Chaitanya is currently the Resident Teacher for Chinmaya Mission Auckland. Born in India, but raised in NZ, he holds degrees in Science and Engineering from the University of Auckland. He worked for a number of years in the environmental industry, before being drawn to the teachings of Vedanta through the dynamic approach of Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Swaroopananda.

He followed his love for Vedanta by undertaking the intensive study of the scriptures at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya under the tutelage of Swami Bodhatamananda from 2017 to 2019. At present, he holds regular classes, workshops, camps, facilitates study groups and even produces podcasts to share his learnings and enthusiasm with all age groups. Ishaanji has been part of the Chinmaya Mission for over 18 years – initially as a youth and now as a fully trained teacher and is driven to bring the teachings of Vedanta to all, enabling them to realise their inner happiness.
