Geeta Chanting competition is a global initiative of Chinmaya Mission. Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda explained that the Bhagavad Geeta is the “handbook for everyday living”. To bring this philosophy into children’s lives, the Bhagavad Geeta Chanting competition was pioneered by Chinmaya Mission. Bhagavad Geeta chanting and competitions are vehicles for inspiring and motivating children and adults to learn and memorize the sacred verses of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

When: The Chinmaya Mission New Zealand is organising the Geeta chanting competition on Saturday 01 October 2022 from 4 pm – 6 pm.

All children aged 5 to 17 years are invited to participate in chanting chapter 3 of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita

Shlokas for chanting are as below:

• Years 5 to 8: shlokas 1 to 10
• Years 9 to 13: shlokas 1 to 20
• Years 14+: shlokas 1 to 30 /full
• Registration fee is $20 per child

Each registered child will receive a chanting kit that will be useful to prepare for the competition.
