In the absence of understanding, all actions are mere labour. In religion and culture, often the doing of the action is emphasized over the understanding of the action. This has lead to the notion of religious acts being ‘blind or empty’… Why Do We tries to gain an insight into some of reasons behind the practices so that we may understand the reasoning behind religious actions, do them and benefit from them.

Anish holds a science background and worked for a number of years in the environmental industry before being inspired by the teachings of Vedanta and the dynamic approach of Swami Chinmayananda. Anish followed his love for Vedanta by undertaking the intensive study of the scriptures at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya under the tutelage of Swami Bodhatamananda from 2017-2019. He currently holds regular classes and facilitates study groups at the Auckland centre, sharing his learnings and enthusiasm with all age groups. He has been part of Chinmaya Mission for over 15 years and is driven to bring the teachings of Vedanta to all, enabling them to realise their inner happiness
