Q. What is the Ashram/(Centre) meant for?An ashram is a spiritual home of the community. It is an environment open to all individuals to seek inner spiritual development and growth. This is facilitated by sharing the knowledge of the ancient time tested scriptures.
The ashram/centre also serves as a youth development centre where youngsters who want to grow and get the best out of themselves strive to bring about an inner transformation through Self-Study, Sincere Application and Dedicated Service leading to Self-Unfoldment brought about by spiritual practices and service to society.
Q. Where is this centre located?The property is situated close 5 minutes drive west from the Airport at 63 McKenzie Road, Mangere Bridge (Off Walmsley Drive Exit Motorway 20. This central location has been bought so that we can reach out to the maximum number of people in the Central, South and Western regions of Auckland.
Q. What will be the facilities provided by this centre?

The proposed centre is to be built on 5,554 sq.m of land. It will consist of the following faclities:
- A Hall seating 150 – 200 people meant to conduct seminars for the Youth and other age groups and host other community events that are in line with our Mission Statement and our Vision.
- A Meditation Facility in order to create an environment of peace born through knowledge.
- 4 Classrooms in which we can conduct programs for all age groups to enhance their capacities and to increase the awareness of culture and values in our lives.
- A residential block in which the Acharya (Teacher) for these activities will be hosted. This will be initially utilised as a preliminary activity centre till the main hall is operational.
Q. What is the project schedule?Work for accomplishing the above objectives is divided in two phases:
PHASE 1:
 Purchase of Land and constructing a Preliminary activity centre/residential complex for the Acharya and visiting teachers.
PHASE 2:
 Building a Hall with 200 people seating capacity. Classrooms and a Meditation Facility. Library & Book-store facility will also be available in this main building.
Q. What will be the estimated cost?The first phase will cost approximately $ 820,000 and scheduled to be by the end of December 2008. The second phase will cost $ 1,200,000 and is scheduled for completion by June 2009 subject to completion of Phase 1 and available funds.

FINANCIAL HELP: To all readers who would want this ashram to be built, we would request you to extend your financial support. Our primary goal is to abolish the ongoing loan that the Mission is servicing of $ 275,000.
· We can raise funds by pledging to sell 2 or more Build A Block Ahuti tickets of $10 every month to people you know so as to generate a constant inflow of funds in order to sustain the building of the center. These tickets are of 3 denominations: $10, $20, and $50 and are available in books of 10 tickets. You can choose to sell as many. We have 500 readers and even if 200 of you join us in this pledge we would have taken a big step forward. Please fill the form attached and post it to the given address.
