A CHINMAYA MISSION YOUTH CAMP

What is the Camp about?

A Chinmaya Mission Youth Camp is organised by the youth of Chinmaya Mission and is generally held for a period of 1 day and 2 nights. These Camp are held in camp sites and are residential. The camp is generally conducted by an acharya or visiting acharya of the Mission with the help of other teachers and parent volunteers.

The aims of these camps are as follows -

    1. to make the youth recognise their inner dynamism,
    2. to give them means and techniques to harness their dynamic potential and fulfill their chosen goals.
    3. to help them make choices more carefully and intelligently
    4. to give them a support group of like-minded individuals and to give them freedom to express themselves and grow together.
    5. to make them aware of the wisdom of our ancient philosophy. This is done through guided meditation, lectures, discussion groups, role plays and other activities such as treasure hunts, etc.
The BORN IDENTITY is a theme based camp with the same aims as mentioned above. In the camp the participants will be taken on an exciting journey of Self-Discovery where they will learn more about themselves and their strengths and weakness. They will also get to undertake this journey with like minded positive individuals. The lectures will be a rare blend of the ancient teachings of the Bhagavad Geeta and modern self-motivational practices. The result of his camp will be that the participants will have a greater understanding of themselves and a new perspective to the way they look at and deal with life's imposing challenges.

  Who is conducting the camp?
 
BRAHMACHARI ADARSH CHAITANYA

Adarshji is the Resident Teacher of Chinmaya Mission Auckland and is in charge of all its operations here. He conducts classes for children, youth and adults and has dedicated his life in spreading the work and vision of his Guru, H.H. Swami Chinmayananda.

Adarshji has undergone an intensive monastic training course on the subject of Vedanta (Essence of Hindu Philosophy). Adarshji was inspired by the life and work of his Guru Pujya Swami Chinmayananda through H.H. Swami Swaroopananda, as a CHYK member. He will guide us in this journey to reveal our BORN IDENTITY.
